The live audience tapings for "The X Factor" in Miami Beach today were canceled at the last minute early this morning and fans are not happy.
Both of today’s shows - one at 1:00 p.m., the other at 5:45 p.m. - were canceled very. very early this morning.
However, Hollyscoop has learned that "The X Factor" is still taping today- just without the live audience.
The company responsible for filling the seats for the touring Boot Camp auditions, On Camera Audiences, apparently sent an email at 2:00 a.m. to ticket holders telling them not to show up.
The people that woke up and headed on over without checking their email -- whether coming from down the street, or overseas -- are understandably peeved. On Camera Audiences responded to the backlash via Facebook :
“MIAMI......!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are feeling your pain!!!!!! We are incredibly disappointed that The X Factor had to cancel the audiences for BootCamp. We were so looking forward to being there and having a great time with you all today!“
So, what actually happened?
An spokesperson for "The X Factor" tells Hollyscoop, "Due to changes in production, the live audience portion of THE X FACTOR Boot Camp was canceled."
A rep for On Camera Audiences has not yet responded to our request for comment.
There have been Miami themed tweets from those involved the last four days --
So what exactly was the change in production? A rep tells Hollyscoop, these type of changes happen all the time. "It was just a change in the schedule, nothing more."
