'The Voice' Season 2 Finale Recap: We Have a Winner

Last night, ‘The Voice’ finished Season 2 with a blow out episode that brought out special guests by the truckload like Justin Bieber to Lady Antebellum.

Even Cee Lo's white cat Purrfect had his story told! But the real question remained: which of the final four would be crowned winner? Finalists Tony Lucca, Chris Mann, Juliet Simms and Jermaine Paul had given their all in performances the night before and were now waiting to find out who had captured America’s heart, and a $100,000 the deal with Universal records. And the winner is… [Spoilers ahead].

…Jermaine Paul! Yes, a win for Team Blake, giving coach Blake Shelton his first champion.

“No more background for you!” Carson promised Jermaine, previously a backup singer for Alicia Keys.

Keys even tweeted her enthusiastic support: “@JermainePaul deservesssss all of this!!!!! He has more talent in one hand....;-)))) congratulations brotha!!!!!!! Shine shine shine!!!!!!”

In a close finish, Juliet Simms came in only 4% behind Jermaine at second, Tony Lucca was third, and Chris Mann placed fourth.

Earlier in the evening, Juliet performed The Beatles’ “With a Little Help from My Friends”. We guess she could have used 4% more help.

All of the finalists brought back ousted contestants to duet with, so Juliet was joined by Erin Willett, RaeLynn and Jamar. Chris brought back Lindsey Pavao and Katrina Parker for "Bittersweet Symphony." Tony joined Jordis Unger to duet on "Go Your Own Way." And Jermaine sang "I Want You Back" with Jamar Rogers, James Massone and Pip.

Special guest performances included superstars Hall and Oates with their classic 70’s hit, “Rich Girl.” The group Lady Antebellum sang “Wanted You More.” Even SNL and the Parks and Recreation cast got in on the fun.

Justin Bieber delivered his first live performance of his hit “Boyfriend” with a dozen dancers. Naturally, the audience went wild.

In a fitting close to season 2, Jermaine embraced his wife and soulfully sang, “I Believe I Can Fly,” which is currently #1 in the iTunes US store for R&B/Soul songs. Congratulations Jermaine!
