Jermaine Paul won the second season of The Voice Tuesday, but the drama on the stage is nothing compared to the bickering that goes on behind the judges table.
Whether Christina Aguilera is putting down Adam Levine’s contestants or Blake Shelton is ribbing Carson Daly for something, Cee Lo Green always keeps his cool. But is the judges drama taking away from the actual singing competition itself?
“It was a bit of a distraction,” Cee Lo tells Hollyscoop Tuesday at The Voice, “So I've heard.”
Will the judges bickering make The Voice pull an X Factor and fire half the judges panel?
“Well, it’s a little early for me to answer that,” says Cee Lo, “I don’t think it was big enough to ruin such a good thing. It’s a small thing and there will be communication, you know, working it out over our time off. I think we can work it out. I wanna mediate it.”
You heard it here first, Cee Lo and his fluffy white cat will mediate Christina and Adam’s couple's therapy.
Show host Carson Daly thinks all the judge feuding is just for fun.
“I think [it’s] fun for the whole audience to see the season breakdown, what the coaches are like behind the scenes.”
And even though Cee Lo thinks the on-screen bickering is “distracting” he says when the camera stops rolling, “We get along very well. Everybody is very cordial.”
