Obama Joining The View

ABC's The View is about to get their most famous guest to date--President Barack Obama!

President Obama will become the first sitting U.S. president to visit the show when he tapes an interview on Wednesday. Talk about ratings boost!

He'll appear as part of the show's "Red, White & View" series, which has featured prominent American politicians and discussions on current political issues.

He'll take on the hot seat next to the show's five ladies to tackle the "hot topics," of the day. His approval ratings have hit new lows, according to the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll so his camp is hoping this appearance will help give him a boost.

His special cameo is so huge that Barbara Walters is going to the set for the president's appearance. She has been on medical leave after undergoing heart valve replacement surgery in May.

"We are so pleased and honored that President Obama will be a guest on 'The View,'" she said in a prepared statement.

Do you think it's a good idea for Obama to make an appearance now, at a time when his administration grapples with challenges from the economy to the BP oil spill? Tell us your thoughts!
