Jonathan has been struggling with his sobriety for years and has been in and out of rehab five times. He reportedly refused treatment by paramedics on Tuesday, so they had to call the police to take him to a nearby hospital in Maida Vale, north London.
A source said: "This is very sad. It was the opinion of those present that he tried to take his life...

Season 3 of The Tudors just returned last week with Henry taking a new wife, Jane Seymour. We can look forward later in the season to Joss Stone joining the cast, who will play Henry’s fourth wife, Anne of Cleves.
So although there will only be one more season of The Tudors, executive producer Michael Hirst has hope for possible spin-offs.
He says, "By calling the series The Tudors, we've at least given ourselves the possibilities of doing other Tudors. Elizabeth has been done to death, but Mary and Edward haven't, and even Henry's father hasn't."
So enjoy Jonathan Rhys Meyers and The Tudors while it lasts! You can catch it every Sunday night on Showtime.

The Emmy award winning HBO series John Adams took 4 nominations, while HBO made for TV movie Recount took 5 nomination. It definitely was a big morning for HBO, who received 22 nominations, including 3 nominations for its hit comedy Entourage. Speaking of Entourage, congrats to Kevin Connelly, who received his first Golden Globes nomination as Eric.
It was no surprise to see America’s new sweetheart Tina Fey on the ballot for “Best Actress” in a TV Series for Comedy. If you're a fan of her hit series 30 Rock, you already know Fey is pure genius. Her Emmy award winning show came in 4th place with the most nominations.
Tina’s partner in crime Alec Baldwin got himself an GG nomination for his role as the slick, scrupulous network executive. Eat your heart out Kim Basinger.
Showtime also had a great morning receiving the second most nominations for a network. Their hit shows Dexter, The Tudors, Weeds and Californication all got nominations. Check out the full list of nominees here.

A source close to the star said: "Jonathan has decided he's going to quit The Tudors. He'll stay around to record the next season but he won't be doing any more after that.
"He's really enjoyed playing King Henry VIII and having the opportunity to work in Ireland again but he feels it's time to go."
Such sad news! He's amazing as King Henry VIII. So what's next for Jonathan? He will soon be in Paris to shoot 'Paris With Love' alongside John Travolta.

Joss will play his fourth wife, Anne of Cleves. But don't expect this to be a longtime role.
As the real story goes, Henry VIII was so unhappy with Anne's looks that he annulled their marriage after just six months! We'll have to see how long Joss will stick around on the show.

Good news to all you Tudors fans, the Showtime hit TV show might be back for a third season. Showtime did confirm to Hollyscoop that ""The Tudors has NOT been renewed for Season 3 yet." There have been a few scripts written and if there is greenlight, then the studio will go forward with it.
Here at Hollyscoop, we're crossing our fingers since this is one of our favorite shows on TV. If you haven’t watched the show yet, here are some reasons why you should. The historical drama series is loosely based upon the early reign of Henry VIII. The show entails the story of love, greed, power and betrayal.
The TV shows gives sexy a new name with all the steamy love scenes and not to mention hot stars such as Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Henry Cavill. To get a sneak peak of what Season two will entail, check out the trailer below.

Showtime’s' hit TV show The Tudors swept the Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTAs) on Sunday, winning a record-breaking total of seven prizes! Well deserved if you ask me.
The series won for Best Drama Series, while Jonathan Rhys Meyers was named Best Actor in a Television Drama Lead Role. His co-stars Maria Doyle Kennedy and Nick Dunning won awards for best supporting roles, while the show picked up another three awards at the ceremony at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre.
If you haven't already seen The Tudors, I'd highly recommend it! Even if you’re not into Henry VIII, Jonathan is so gorgeous, he makes it worth your while!
