Geri Halliwell Gets A Movie Gig

Geri Halliwell is giving up singing for acting. She just signed on to star in 'The Transporter' alongside Jason Statham.

Halliwell has had small parts in movies like 'Crank 2' and 'Sex and the City: The Movie.'

She tells British magazine Hello, "I have just filmed a small part in the movie Crank 2. I play a chavvy (low-class) mother with a blacked out tooth and look like trailer trash. I'm trying to do things that I enjoy, that test my character and which are joyful, creative and funny."

The movie is in post production and set for a release date of November 28, 2008. She may be trying to get into movies, but she'll always be Ginger Spice to us!
