Get Smart Wins While Love Guru Loses

It was a tough weekend for Steve Carell and Mike Myers who went head-to-head at the box office this weekend. The winner? Get Smart!

Steve Carell’s new comedy brought in an estimated $39.2 million taking the #1 spot while Mike Myers’ The Love Guru came in at #4 with only $14 million.

"Mike Myers, the master of the spy spoof, opens his movie against a spy comedy, and the spy movie genre was obviously a lot more appealing to audiences," president of box-office tracker Media By Numbers, told the Associated Press.
