TV Stars Become Heroes

This past weekend the stars came out for a good cause and for some fun in the sun. The 19th Annual “A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival” took place to benefit the "Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation."

Every year, the carnival attracts a number of celebrities and their kids to help raise money to prevent pediatric HIV infection as well as eradicate pediatric AIDS through research, advocacy, and prevention and treatment programs. This year’s event was expected to raise approximately $1 million for the Foundation.

Stars such as Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Denise Richards, Cheryl Burke, and the cast of “The Hills” were among the celebrities in attendance at this year’s event. We hear some some of the girls of the MTV hit TV show couldn't get enough of the

Speaking of The Hills, Whitney Port was the first from 'The Hills' crew to arrive and she was visibly uncomfortable in front of the photographers. She did not pose for very long as she quickly made her way into the event. If the rumors of her getting her own show are true, could the pressure of stepping into the spotlight on her own be too much already? And why did she arrive by herself? Could there be tension brewing between her and Lauren Conrad now that she’s getting her own show? Ever since Audrina Patridge got a movie role, things have not been the same between her and Lauren. We wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case with Whitney as well.

Other stars that were spotted at the event included “Dancing With The Stars” dancer Cheryl Burke who might be over Gerard Butler since she arrived with fellow DWTS cast-mate Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The two were awfully close together and we’re wondering if there could be romance budding between these two?

With all speculation aside, it’s always great to see celebrities turning out to show their support and do their part to help children around the world.
