The Hammer New On DVD

It's never too late to go for the gold! Especially when you're a 40-year old guy with no job and no girlfriend. Adam Corrolla plays Jerry, who gets fired from his dead-end carpentry job and dumped by his girlfriend in this hilarious comedy about second chances.  Years ago, Jerry was a promising young boxer, who quit so he wouldn't be disappointed if he never made it.  His only present day connection to the sport is teaching a low-level boxing class in the valley. He's asked by boxing coach Eddie Bell if he'd like to spar with up-and-comer Malice Blake, to whom he delivers a one-punch knockout in the ring, proving he's still got it. One thing leads to another, and soon Jerry, The Hammer, is on the quest for Olympic gold.

Corrolla has definitely come a long way from the Man Show as Kimmel's sidekick, and delivers a believable performance about a regular old guy who takes another shot at life.  Plus, who doesn't like to see a skinny white dude in the boxing ring?

The Hammer is out on DVD June 24th!
