Watch 'The Dark Knight Rises' New Action Packed Trailer

The Dark Knight Rises trailer starts with a monologue from Michael Caine, then a reaction shot from Christian Bale, followed by “from director Christopher Nolan.” You shouldn’t even need to see any more to get on board with this. Yet there is so much more to look forward to.

Bale, along with Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Morgan Freeman, Marion Cotillard and Joseph-Gordon Levitt star in the flick.

The best thing about this is that you have eye candy like Marion Cotillard and Christian Bale, and that’s not even remotely the most exciting aspect of it. Okay, maybe I’m underplaying the eye candy, but there’s so much action going on, and with Christopher Nolan reprising his directorial role, this flick is a must-see for so many reasons. And if a good story and directing don’t really do it for you, there’s also Anne Hathaway in a catwoman costume.

Yes, Hathaway plays Catwoman in the movie and it looks like she might do the role some justice. “There’s a storm coming Mr. Wayne,” Hathaway’s character warns. “You and your friends better batten down the hatches…because you’re all going to wonder how you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.”

Bale, who plays Bruce Wayne in the movie, recently opened up about his Dark Knight costars.

“I had plenty of scenes with Anne,” Bale said. “And I was there when we did the screen test for her…When Chris watched the screen test, he agreed that Anne did a wonderful job. In many ways, she has the hardest job. There are a number of people who feel that the Catwoman role has been defined previously. So, I always saw Anne’s role as being the toughest job of any of us."

Bale called Tom Hardy “phenomenal,” and said that Gordon-Levitt was a “very intriguing guy.”

“He’s somebody who truly seems to love acting. He’s a good, smart guy. He did a very good job in the movie.”

No word on what Christian thought about the light guys. Ooooooh good for you. And how was it?

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters Summer 2012.
