Christian Bale may have his fair share of angry outbreaks (his “You’re amateur man!” outburst on the set of Terminator Salvation ringing any bells?) but the Batman actor can be a pretty good guy. Exhibit A: Bale went to Colorado to visit the victims of the movie theater massacre.
Bale was seen arriving at the Medical Center of Aurora and paid a visit to those wounded individuals still physically recovering from the incident.
One of the victims was Carey Rottman, who posted two photos from his hospital room. Rottman was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital in a police squad car on that fateful night.
“I am definitely feeling nothing but love and am ready to get started on this recovery! By the way, first 30 minutes of the dark knight were SICK!!” Rottman wrote on his Facebook.
Bale was photographed walking through the hospital and posing next to Rottman in his hospital room.
No media is allowed at the hospital, but thankfully, hospital patients and their families have smart phones and fan photos of Bale have slowly been flooding Twitter.
"Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers," an assistant for Susan Fleishman, executive vice president for Warner Brothers corporate communications, told the Denver Post.
ABC 7 in Denver tweeted, “Christian Bale with medical staff…what a nice guy,” as the actor posed surrounded by several female members of the hospital staff.
Apparently Bale JUST arrived at the hospital, more pictures should turn up as the day proceeds as the actor is reportedly still there.
Bale was in Paris for one of the premieres of the flick when the tragedy took place. In wake of the shooting, he released this statement, "Words cannot express the horror that I feel," he said. "I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them."
