The Bodyguard

Rihanna is reportedly in talks to star in the remake of the film The Bodyguard. She’s been in New York all weekend, and although her rep denies she was in town to try and land a movie role, we hear offers are on the table.

The New York Daily News reports that Rihanna had multiple meetings for potential features, one of which is The Bodyguard. The source says the remake will be younger and sexier, and Channing Tatum is being considered for the bodyguard role.

A source tells the paper, “Before the situation with Chris, Ri was getting a lot of scripts. She’s been wanting to do movies for a while now."

Rihanna is also reportedly considering working on the Charlie’s Angels sequel as well as a film project with Justin Timberlake.

Rihanna is one of the few singers we can see being successful making the crossover into films. We think she should stick to action and comedy first though, and not dive right into a role like The Bodyguard. Charlie’s Angels would be perfect!
