The Bachelorette

Which is exactly why it’s awesome television! I mean, the trailer for the ‘The Bachelor’ just features a woman sobbing for like ten seconds. If that doesn’t get you hooked, you’re a damn robot.

Now, in true to The Bachelor form, by choosing past rejects to become the next season's star, 25-year-old Emily Maynard has been asked by ABC to become the next The Bachelorette.

Bachelorette Ashley Hebert had to choose between Ben Flajnik, a 28 year-old winemaker and J.P. Rosenbaum, a 34 year-old construction manager. Sadly, she did not choose the wine guy. Hebert chose Rosenbaum, but not before making Flajnik get down on one knee just to turn him down.
During his proposal, Flajnik told Hebert:

Almost half the seasons of The Bachelor end with the Bachelor not actually proposing but just giving a rose that promises the couple will continue to date before they inevitably break up months later. During Brad Womack's first stint on The Bachelor in 2007, he rejected both finalists and didn't propose to anybody.

Between being humiliated in a roast and then being completely duped by one of the contestants, this show is almost too emotional to watch. I have an easier time sitting through those ASPCA commercials with the all the sick kittens.

Although she digged him a lot, she didn’t dig his ulterior motives, which was obviously to get his 15 minutes, which I must add is probably everyone’s ulterior motive on the show.
Hebert confronted Williams about his motives, which led him packing his bags.
Williams didn’t leave gracefully though; he managed to take a stab at the Bachelorette.

“I'm going to do it right...no regrets,” she insisted.
She got to choose from a pool of 25 men, most of which were either really creepy or...

But there’s one last method you can resort to: reality television. The Bachelorette debuted in 2003 and has since featured six women looking for love. I mean, in a pool of twenty-five men...

On Monday nights finale, Ali told landscaper Chris Lambton that her heart belonged to Martinez.
"I'm in such a weird place right now because this is coming to an end...me and my family the other day, they loved you...tomorrow, I'm at a point where....I don't know what to do," Fedotowsky told Lambton. "I feel like you have all the qualities that I want in somebody -- everything! You're one of the best men I've ever been able to meet in my whole life. I mean that."
She continued, "I think that even if two people really enjoy spending time together...I don't know that that necessarily means that it's supposed to be. Do you understand what I'm saying? I'm in love with somebody else. I have to let you go here and not wait until tomorrow. This wasn't an easy decision. It was really hard. I just didn't want to put you through tomorrow because I know that's going to be so hard."
Martinez proposed to Ali with a Neil Lane engagement ring and she accepted, but do you guys think this relationship will actually last? Their success rating is not so high!

If you recall, Ali and Jake had amazing chemistry last season but she abruptly left to "save" her job.
Did she regret her decision? Obviously!
"If I could go back and do it differently, I would," she said, adding: "On my death bed, I don't want to look back and say I didn't love enough ... If I knew what I know now, would I chose love over work? Yes."
Ali is extremely excited about being able to find "real" love on the show. "I'm so excited!" she told host Chris Harrison. "I am so thrilled and honored and grateful. I just can't believe it."
Let's just hope this season is a bit more real then the previous season. The show is turning out to be worse than The Hills.
