Bachelor Defends His Decision in Season Finale

Those of you who happened to watch The Bachelor's shocking season finale last night were probably a little pissed off when Jason Mesnick dumped Bachelor winner Melissa Rycroft for runner-up Molly Malaney.

Why Molly agreed to give him another chance is beyond us, but maybe she was slightly blinded from that 3.1 carat engagement ring?!

Jason is getting a lot of heat on the internet for dumping Melissa, but he's defending his decision saying, "How was I supposed to lead somebody on, or keep on going, if it really wasn't there?"

"That's the honest truth. Did America want me to say, 'Lead someone on?' Why would anyone do something like that?" he said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday.

Explaining his breakup, he said: "What really happened is, the chemistry was completely different, the relationship was completely different," he said.

"The openness and how we reacted and related to each other and the conversations, which were so great on the show, were completely different."
