She attended Fremont High School in Sunnyvale and De Anza College in Cupertino. Teri Hatcher had a very emotional and rough child hood as she admitted that she was sexually abused by an uncle at age 5.

Teri Hatcher spent her childhood dancing which led to her becoming a member of the 1984 Gold Rush team. That was the name of the professional cheer leading squad of the San Francisco 49ers.?

After rumors that Desperate Housewives would be cancelled at the end of this season, one of the shows stars, Eva Longoria decided to drop the bomb on twitter yesterday and confirmed that the show was indeed ending.

Longoria wrote, "It's confirmed! We are filming our last season of Desperate Housewives! I am so grateful for what the show has given me! We always knew we wanted to end on top and I thank ABC (TV network) for giving us our victory lap! And a special thanks to (show creator) Marc Cherry who forever changed my life!"

Looks like the "for sale" signs are going up on Wisteria Lane, Longoria’s news comes at the same time that the people in suits over at ABC made it official at the Television Critics Association meeting in Beverly Hills on Sunday.
No one is safe from the Swine flu--not even the ladies from Wisteria Lane! Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher is the latest celebrity to get diagnosed with the H1N1 virus.

The entire cast is on swine flu alert after Hatcher informed producers this morning that she was diagnosed.

The producers are now trying to schedule around Hatcher's shoots until she's cleared of the virus. According to TV Guide, the timing couldn't be worse because they were plotting out their big neighborhood Christmas party stunt.

The stunt includes a small plane crashing their festivities and it was supposed to feature the entire cast.

Teri isn't the only celebrity diagnosed with the virus. Brian Litrell from the Backstreet Boys, Harry Potter star Rupert Grint, Marilyn Manson and Dennis Hopper have all been diagnosed with the H1N1 virus.

What a scary situation to find yourself in. We wish Teri a speedy recovery. Don't forget to wash your hands kids, it's one way to prevent getting the virus.

Rumor has it that Governor Sarah Palin is at the top of the guest list for a possible appearance on Desperate Housewives alongside Eva Longoria and Teri Hatcher.

Hollywood PR honcho Hal Lifson told Page Six that Marc Cherry (series creator) is "very hot to trot to have her appear on the season-five finale. Marc is highly enamored of Sarah and sees her as the ultimate guest star [playing] a similar version of herself. The idea has gone over surprisingly well with execs at Disney, who see it as a blockbuster based on Sarah's huge ratings on 'Saturday Night Live.' "

While we agree that this could be an exciting ratings booster for the show, a rep for ABC claims that the story is simply fabricated.
'Desperate Housewives' star Teri Hatcher and her 10 year-old daughter Rose,10, raised $35,000 for children and adults affected by poverty in Kenya.

Teri and Rose presented the $35,000 donation during a two-week trip to Nairobi.

She says, "They loved my daughter. We talked about math. We joked. They would say, 'What subjects do you like in school? What's your hardest subject? What do you like? What do you do? What's your favorite thing to do?' "We talked about sports. We talked about who likes science - stuff like that."

Celebs doing good never goes out of style!

There's nothing better than a good old fashioned cat fight on set to make a gloomy Friday better. A crew on the 'Desperate Housewives' set may have some real life drama to mend. Eva Longoria has says she's 'great' friends with Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Nicollette Sheridan, but admits Teri does not join in with their socializing outside work.

Eva told Elle magazine: "Flick and I live down the street from each other. When Tony is in town, Marcia and I get together with our husbands – those two are big basketball fans. And Nicollette and I go shopping all the time.

"They are a great group of girls. And some of us are really close."

Apparently the beef between Eva and Teri started when Teri used Eva's wedding at the Saint Germain l'Auxerrois church near Paris as a photo opportunity for herself. Note: Never steal the Brides thunder!

While all of Eva’s guests entered the church through a side entrance, Teri posed for the paparazzi and signed autographs for 10 minutes. She even wore a really similar dress as the bridesmaids, which reportedly got Eva fuming.

We should get these two in a mud wresting ring, Eva may be tiny but I think she can take Teri down.

Earlier this week we wrote a story about the racial slurs Susan Mayer(Teri Hatcher) made against Filipinos during the season premiere of 'Desperate Housewives.' Naturally, it pissed off a lot of people off and they requested an apology. Well, they just got it!

ABC issued the following statement, "The producers of `Desperate Housewives' and ABC Studios offer our sincere apologies for any offense caused by the brief reference in the season premiere. There was no intent to disparage the integrity of any aspect of the medical community in the Philippines."

"As leaders in broadcast diversity, we are committed to presenting sensitive and respectful images of all communities featured in our programs

If you watched the 'Desperate Housewives' season premiere you know exactly what we're about gonna talk about. If not pay attention!

The writer's of Desperate Housewives have pissed off the Philippine government and they are seeking an apology.

During the show, Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer) used a racial slur against Filipino medics and they are requiring an apology according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

During a medical examination Susan Mayer asked, "Can I check those diplomas because I want to make sure that they're not from some med school in the Philippines."

Naturally, that comment pissed off some people.

Filipino consul in Los Angeles Mary Jo Bernardo Aragon was so pissed that she wrote a letter to ABC networks stating that their comment was not true because Filipino medical workers were in demand all over the world.

"The US recognizes the students of Philippine medical and nursing schools and in general, does not require additional schooling in the US for Filipino healthcare professionals," she added.

The funny thing is I watched the episode on Sunday and after hearing that comment, I instantly knew it would piss off a lot of people. Didn't the writers of the show have the common knowledge to figure it would tick people off? Either they didn't have the common knowledge or they just didn't care.

Teri Hatcher had been dating Stephen Kaye (Eva Longoria's ex) for a couple of months and even admitted to being in love but unfortunately the feeling wasn't mutual because they have called it quits.

'Desperate Housewives' creator Marc Cherry revealed the news at a benefit on Saturday stating, "Teri's not with a guy right now."

I wonder if Teri knew that Marc was going to spill the beans like that, I would be pissed off if someone else made an announcement about my love life.
