Taylor Swift admits that she likes dating bad boys. OMG girl, you and every other woman before you. Hello, it’s like “Beauty & The Beast” in real life. Duhhh.
Yesterday, Taylor debuted her new music video for “I Knew You Were Trouble” which is not-so-secretly about John Mayer and if the music video is any indication, Taylor falls hard for a BAD BOY.
I’m talking sleeps-at-a-Motel-6 and drives-a-convertible BAD. So, Hollywood-bad, which is essentially Midwest-rich or NY-hip.
Taylor told MTV about this “toxic” and “dangerous” relationship.
“[I wrote] this song about knowing the second you see someone like, 'Oh, this is going to be interesting. It's going to be dangerous, but look at me going in there anyway,’” says the country songstress.
Not to play pop-psychologist or anything, but do you think Taylor is dating “dangerous” and unavailable men because she’s actually afraid of commitment, despite her desperate need for romance? But what am I talking about!? Let’s get back to the important things like boys and popular music! YAE.
Taylor adds: “When you are curious about something you know might be bad for you, but you know that you are going to go for it anyway because if you don't, you'll have greater regrets about not seeing where that would go.”
Taylor also says that nice girls like herself dating bad boys like John Mayer, Harry Styles, and Jake Gyllenhaal (verdict still out on Jake being “bad”) is the same thing as opposites attract.
“I think it's just like an opposites attract kind of thing. I don't know that all good girls are only attracted to all bad boys, I think everyone goes through phases as to what interests them," adds Swifty.
