T-Swift has officially received the Kennedy family seal of approval.
Following reports that the women of the family have been harshing out against the country pop hitmaker and her new relationship with Conor Kennedy, a new report seems to suggest that Taylor and the family are actually getting along just fine.
TMZ reports the brand new, happy news…
The source of the story is Rhode Island House of Representatives member Patrick Kennedy.
When the celebrity news site ambushed Congressman at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, his review of Taylor was nothing but positive.
“We love Taylor Swift,” he said. “She's been a great friend and we're happy for Conor."
When the camerman pushed on, asking if the family had officially accepted Swift as their own, Kennedy answered, "If she wants to be in the family, she's already a part of it."
Kennedy’s praise of the singer comes as a bit of a shock to us and likely a breath of fresh air to Taylor herself.
Last month, Taylor and Conor’s relationship made headlines when the couple reportedly showed up uninvited to Kyle Kennedy and Liam Kerry’s wedding much to matriarch Victoria Kennedy’s dislike.
Vicki, with the help of “Today” co-host Kathie Lee Gifford, has since bashed the singer for not following the rules. Meanwhile, Taylor’s rep claims that she was, in fact, always invited from the start.
"Taylor was invited to the wedding and the bride thanked her profusely for being there,” the rep told Us Weekly.
Despite what the family thinks of their budding romance, Taylor and Conor have been attached at the hip for the past two-months that they have been dating.
Taylor recently kicked the relationship’s forward momentum into overdrive, buying a house in Cape Cod across the street from the family’s compound.
How’s that for “moving too fast?”
