Despite reports that say otherwise,
Tara Reid has not checked out of rehab. People magazine previously reported that she had already left the facility, but later changed their story with the correct facts that she is still at Promises in Malibu.
Tara’s publicist made a statement saying that it wasn’t true, adding, "We appreciate your respect to her and her family's privacy at this time."
Many people think Tara’s recent choice to seek treatment was a career move, to d
drum up publicity for herself and for Promises, which was allegedly hurting from the bad economy. But a rep from the facility quickly squashed the rumors on their end, telling Hollyscoop:
“Any suggestion that Promises is in any financial trouble whatsoever is patently untrue. The suggestion that Promises would search Hollywood for a celebrity who needs rehab in an effort to garner publicity is libelous, offensive and without any basis in reality.”
That’s well put, but we wouldn’t put it past them to let her get help on their dime. But a source does say Tara is making progress with her treatment, saying, “She’s doing well. The whole family is very positive about this being the new beginning for her.”
We also hear Tara will be getting out shortly. We’re not sure that’s quite enough time for all the years of partying she’s endured, but that’s what relapses are for!
