Survivor

Last night "Boston Rob" Mariano was named the winner of "Survivor: Redemption Island."

And it truly was a redemption, because this wasn't Rob's first time on the show.

Find out why his wife is his archnemesis after the jump!
It's been six years since the hit TV show wrapped up, but Friends is still the most watched TV show of the decade.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show's 2004 finale is the highest-rated broadcast in America since 2000. 52.5 million viewers tuned in to watch Rachel, Monica, Joey, Chandler, Phoebe and Ross say goodbye.

The series, which launched the careers of Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, ran for a decade between 1994 and 2004.

Friends took the cake but Survivor came in at a close second with 51.7 million viewers. Believe it or not Joe Millionaire was third with its 2003 show getting an audience of 40 million.

E.R., American Idol, Grey's Anatomy, Frasier and Spin City also made the top ten list. What was your favorite Friends episode?
Don't MISS out on Breaking News!
Jon Gosselin may be done with TLC, but apparently he’s still interesting in being on reality television.

New reports suggest he’s in talks with CBS to appear on a celebrity edition of their shows Survivor or The Amazing Race.

A source tells Radar, "Jon is planning to fly to Los Angeles in late November for a meeting about appearing on one of the shows. Nothing is a done deal yet. This is in the very early stages."

The network has made no comment as of yet. But the source says Jon is trying to find another source of income since his time’s up on Jon and Kate Plus 8. Because getting a real job would be out of the question! Jon is like the new Spencer Pratt. He thinks he’s entitled to being on TV now.

The winner of 2001’s Survivor has been diagnosed with cancer. Ethan Zohn has just announced he’s been diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s disease.

The diagnosis came on April 30th after months of night sweats and itching. Doctors then found a swollen lymph node under his left clavicle. As soon as he found out, he began chemo.

Zohn is trying as best he can to stay positive about this. He tells People, "This is happening for a reason. You have to get spiritual about this [stuff]. I know I want to help people and inspire people. That's my purpose in life. So I need to use this as a platform."

Zohn seems like he’s keeping a great attitude about the terrible news. He went on to say, "I've got good family and friends, and I'll roll with the punches as it comes to me. That's how I work in life. I'll take it on like a real game of Survivor. I'm not getting voted out of this one."

We wish him the best of luck with his long road to recovery.

Survivor: Micronesia- Fans vs. Favorites @ 8pm
No one is playing the game better right now than former coach potato Cirie. Previously, she single-handedly gave Yau-Man the boot, and last week she orchestrated Joel's exit. Clearly, being smart and savvy are more beneficial than possessing pure brute strength. Tonight, however, the focus is on Jonathan, who is dealing with a serious infection. Will he stay or will he have to leave the game to get medical help? Meanwhile, Jason unwittingly becomes the victim in Ozzy's fake-idol ploy when he finds Ozzy's hand-carved creation on Exile Island.

Smallville @ 8pm
Kara and Jimmy go to a totally rockin' OneRepublic concert, and one of the roadies turns out to be none other than former Smallville townie Pete Ross. Unfortunately for Pete, he chews some kryptonite-laced gum and develops a bad case of superpowers. When Clark and Chloe meet up with their old friend, they warn Pete against using his newly acquired powers in public, but Lex gets wind of it. He then blackmails Pete into helping him break into Lionel's safe (man, those Luthors have serious trust issues) by threatening to reveal Chloe as a meteor freak.

Lost @ 9pm
One of the beauties of Lost is that when there's a major revelation — last week's was that the vaguely nefarious Charles Widmore owns the freighter — we're not surprised, just intrigued. Messrs. Cuse and Lindelof don't waste characters, so Widmore is merely back in action. We don't know why Penny's dad wants in on the island, but we certainly know why Jin and Sun (tonight's stars) want off: Jin's pregnant; not a good thing to be there. The episode's title, Ji Yeon, is a Korean girl's name, so can we assume they make it? Last week's tease promised that the last of the Oceanic 6 would be identified, so you do the math.

Make Me A Supermodel @ 10pm
It's a mod, mod, mod modeling world, particularly when the dirty half dozen got hip last week to brand management and vintage looks. They also celebrated hostess Niki Taylor's birthday with a homemade song, featuring the four male models crooning in tandem like a busted boy band. Our pretty "runway projects" try to stay in tune tonight with a jaunt to New Orleans for charity work. It won't be easy in the Big Easy when they participate in a cemetery shoot and a gothic catwalk show.

For Survivor's 16th season, Jeff Probst is shaking things up a little. This cast is made up of fans vs. favorites, so it's viewers who are obsessed with contestants from past seasons, and the two teams compete against each other.

It takes place in Micronesia, which I had to look up on google maps, and it had a bunch of arrows with Amelia Earhart's flight plan, which, if I'm not mistaken, didn't pan out so well for her….Here are the names and pics of the contestants for this season so you can get all up to date. Survivor: Micronesia premieres on Thursday, Feb. 7 @ 8PM on CBS. FANS:

Talk about being 'giving' during the holiday season. Denise Martin, who is best known as the lunch lady on CBS' reality show 'Survivor: China' is donating the $50,000 she got from the show to the Pediatric AIDs Foundation.

Martin was originally granted the $50,000 after she got demoted from lunch lady to janitor at a school in Douglass, Mass., after finishing fourth on the show.

The producers of 'Survivor' gave her that money to help her get her life back on track, but she turned around and donated the entire amount. Talk about a heart of gold, I'm truly touched!

"I do not feel comfortable about accepting the $50,000. I would instead ask that it be donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation," the statement said. "Please accept my apology. I would also like to thank all the people who have supported me through this experience."

Kudos to Martin!

My Name is Earl @ 8pm
Karma chameleon, indeed: The usually good-hearted Earl changes his stripes in tonight's holiday-themed edition. When his post-prison life offers nary a home, job or dime, Earl grows bitter and renounces karma. Worse, he turns to the karmic dark side and regresses back to his old bad self. Man-child Randy, aghast at Earl's nasty backslide, plans a Christmas-morn intervention — but good-old karma may come calling for Earl in unlikely forms. Giovanni Ribisi and Alyssa Milano return in their recurring roles.

30 Rock @ 9pm
The staffers celebrate the holidays with a party---which comes complete with a lusty Santa. The festive occasion marks the arrival of Liz's parents (Buck Henry, Anita Gillette) and her brother (Andy Richter), a fortysomething man with memory loss who thinks he's a high-school senior. Another (unexpected) guest: Jack's mother (Elaine Stritch), who decidedly lacks Christmas cheer.

Survivor: China @ 9pm
So, will Amanda make this move against Todd that she's been talking about or will we have to wait yet another week? Did Denise make the right call in voting out Erik? What was Jaime laughing about at tribal? (James looked pissed though). And isn't it interesting that the players are strategizing based on a final three finale? Wouldn't it be great if Survivor flipped the script again and went back to a two-person finale? Tonight, some of the castaways enjoy a feast on the Great Wall of China. At tribal council, the 12th player is voted out of the game.

30 Rock
The calendar says it's almost winter, but that doesn't stop Tina Fey's recommended laugher from taking on our summery national pastime. Tonight Tracy steps up to the plate when he coaches a rough-and-tumble New York Little League team, but the meddling Jack throws a curve with a Steinbrennerian pitch: He tries to turn the squad into a formidable winner with gifts (including tuxedo uniforms), and looks to fire Tracy. Back at the Rock, a studly young coffee guy perks up Liz's love life, despite their 17-year age difference.

Survivor: China @ 8pm
Tonight fans will finally get the payoff to the cliff-hanger from two weeks ago. Jeff Probst announced at tribal council that the group was staying at council to attend to some business. That sounds like bad news for the castaways, but great news for viewers. The key word tonight is blindside. One player threatens to switch things up by blindsiding their best friend in the game, and one alliance considers blindsiding one of their own members.

Scrubs @ 9:30pm
It's the day most Scrubs fans have dreaded for years now: J.D. decides it's time to grow up! And no one is more devastated by this news than Turk, the playful other half to J.D.'s inner child, so he makes it his mission to thwart J.D.'s plan. In keeping with the growing-up theme, news from Dr. Cox forces a patient to mature too quickly, and Elliot unwittingly reveals Kelso's real age.
