It ain’t cheap being Suri Cruise. Just how not cheap is it? About $100,000 a month. Think about how much money you make monthly, yeah, now think about what Suri Cruise gets “paid” to wear little outfits and go to gymnastics classes. Oi vey is right!
E! news talked to Steve Mindel, an attorney who specializes in divorces and child support payments and broke down the fees associated with a normal person’s divorce (i.e. not famous) and how that price continues to go up when your dad is Mr. Mission Impossible.
For the average person living in New York, it costs about $430,000 to raise a kid, until they leave for college, turn 18, or move out of their parents basement to get a job at Starbucks, whichever occurs first.
But when you have to add in body guards, private cars and planes, and those adorable little heels that Suri likes to wear the price starts going way up.
“At the end of the day,” Mindel predicts, “It would not be shocking to learn that if you add it all up – cash, nannies, education, travel expenses, security – Suri might be getting $80,000 to $100,000 a month in support.”
Here’s how Mindel breaks it down. The average child support payment will max out at $30,000 a month, Mindel estimates that’s what a normal person would splash out, but that estimate seems crazy high.
Mindel says that round-the-clock child care, which Suri probably requires, will add about $7,000 a month. Her school tuition adds on another $15,000 a month and when she travels with her super rich parents, you can add about $20,000 a month.
So yeah, keep on going like that and boom, six figures a month in child support payments.
Celebrities, they are so NOT like us.
