Susan Boyle is no longer a cat-loving spinster living in her small town of Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland. She’s a household name and an international singing sensation, so now she has to dress the part!
Harper’s Bazaar took it upon themselves to give Boyle a glamorous makeover, capturing it all in a photo spread for their September issue.
The Britain’s Got Talent star got to don some designer wear, like Michael Kors and J. Crew. But don’t go thinking Susan is going to go full-diva on us any time soon. In fact, she’s happy with the way she’s always looked.
She tells the mag, "Maybe I'll consider a makeover later on. For now I'm happy the way I am -- short and plump. I would not go in for Botox or anything like that. I'm content with the way I look. What's wrong with looking like Susan Boyle? What's the matter with that?"
That’s so refreshing to hear from someone who has just gotten thrown into the limelight! But if there’s one thing Susan may never get used to, it’s the media. She says, "It was just overwhelming -- to find TV stations camped outside your door and the phone ringing 24 hours a day. It was good. But overwhelming. It was too big for anyone to handle."
So Susan doesn’t want a makeover, and doesn’t care for the media attention…that’s something we don’t hear everyday! Pick up a copy of Harper’ Bazaar on newsstands August 18th.
