Lindsay Lohan’s only gig right now is showing up to parties where her self tanner
Sevin Nyne happens to be a sponsor. But she may be in hot water over the tanning product, which Florida-based chemist Jennifer Sunday says was stolen from her.
According to the
St. Petersburg Times, a lawsuit was filed in Tampa federal court saying Lohan and Nevada businesswoman Lori Simon stole the formula for Sevin Nyne from a chemist.
Lindsay claims she’s been developing the self-tanner with Simon for the past three years. Simon also does airbrush tans for celebrities.
Sunday claims Lindsay and Lorit are lying, since she only completed the ingredients used in Sevin Nyne recently. Her attorney Marcia Cohen said in a statement, "We are certainly looking for the profits that are being generated right now from that product. If Ms. Lohan and Ms. Simon and their companies and their shareholders are profiting from the theft of my client's formula and are profiting from that product, my client is entitled to those proceeds."
According to Sunday, Simon signed a confidentiality agreement in January with her company, White Wave International Labs. A copy of the agreement was included in the lawsuit. The suit says Simon and Sunday had been negotiating over samples of the tanning mist, but the sides couldn't agree on a price.
She says, "The next thing we know, Lorit Simon and Lindsay Lohan are partnering and Ms. Lohan is taking credit for developing this formula, which she indeed had no role in.”
Sounds pretty shady to us! We wouldn’t put it past Lindsay to take credit for something she never did either. We hope that woman sees her fair share of the profits being made off the product!
