Karl Lagerfeld Kicks Off Paris Fashion Week

If there's anything Karl Lagerfeld knows, it's how to put on a show. Paris Fashion Week is in full swing and the designer displayed an interesting set up for the Chanel Couture Fall collection. The show took place at the Grand Palais on a stage set with giant white N° 5 bottles.

Karl Lagerfeld apparently has a huge problem with Heidi Klum. We can’t understand what’s not to love about her, but Karl has real issues when it comes to Heidi, and her husband Seal for that matter!

Last month Karl beat up on poor Heidi, calling her “too fat” for the runway, saying she’s “no runway model” and “always grins so stupidly.”

He’s just picked Lily to be the next face of Chanel. Elle UK states that it’s not all that surprising since Lily is always seated first row at his shows, and barely leaves the house without one of her Chanel bags.

Kate Moss looked great as she came out to see the Parisian House unveil its new (and very expensive) threads for fall. The supermodel looked timeless in a form fitting tuxedo jacket. Yesterday was a momentous day in fashion. Nothing says fashion like a Chanel Runway show in Paris during fashion week. Karl Lagerfeld unveiled his 2009 Spring/Summer collection and it was definitely classic Chanel.

Lagerfeld kept to the basics of the house and stayed within the black and white palate. Everything from long Chanel to super short Chanel was dripping in the houses classic black and white.

Karl Lagerfeld unveiled his spring ’09 collection during Paris Fashion Week and we must say we were a bit surprised. The collection was pretty tamed and consisted of things us regular folks would wear. The downside is that we probably can’t afford any of Karl’s designs.

Karl displayed a lot of suits with patent leather lining which gave the usual suits some funk.

Also, one of the models walked out with a handbag cut out...
