The
Gucci Icon-Temporary store grand opening party in New York City was the hot ticket in town this week.
For the launch of the exclusive sneakers, Gucci will be opening a series of temporary stores in the world’s hottest locations. The first stop was in NYC on Crosby Street.
The event, which was hosted by Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini, attracted may celebrities including Mark Ronson, Evan Rachel Woods,
James Franco and Claire Danes. Other stops include Miami, London and Tokyo.
Mark Ronson wasn’t an ordinary guest. The DJ and Samantha Ronson’s brother collaborated with Gucci for a limited edition Ronson sneaker which will be released at every destination.
It is apparent that sneaker’s have made there way into high fashion. First we had Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, YSL and now the high-end sneaker pioneers Gucci are revamping their look and bringing on the hype by releasing this ultra exclusive collection.
