Lady Gaga Inspires Designers at Paris Fashion Week

It’s no secret that music has always had an influence on fashion. Take Rock N Roll, which re-emerged in the 21st Century fashion books bringing skinny jeans and vintage t-shirts back in style.

In the late 90’s, every teenage girl was mimicking Mariah Carey and Britney Spears fashion style with the low cut denim showing off the belly ring.

Last year we saw Karl Lagerfeld using train wreck Amy Winehouse as his inspiration for his collection for Chanel. Lagerfeld had his models with beehive hairstyles with thick eyeliner and 50's inspired clothing. Now, it’s 2009, which is the year of change, and the days of looking like a train wreck are so yesterday.

Judging by the trends coming out of Paris Fashion Week, fashion designers are now using Lady Gaga as their muse for their Spring/Summer 2009 collection.

When Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci unveiled his Spring /Summer 2009 collection, there were many leotards on the runway which would be fit for Lady Gaga. Seeing all these leotards brings us to the question; would you wear it out in public?

Let’s be honest, Madonna can get away with it since she has buns of steel. Where does that leave the average fashionista? Let us know your thoughts.
