What Was Karl Lagerfeld Thinking?

Chanel
Designer Karl Lagerfeld unveiled his Fall 2009 collection for Chanel in Paris during fashion week.

If this collection were launched at any other time, this article would have taken a different turn; however, it’s 2009 and countries around the world are facing a serious economic downfall. Consumers are no longer spending thousands of dollars on material items.

Don’t get us wrong, there were some items in his collection that were on the simple route symbolizing the classic Chanel look. If a consumer were to purchase any of the simple outfits, it would be a good investment since it can stay in your closet for years. For the most part, the collection struggled to keep our mind and money in harmony.

With the American economy in the cracker, “I” as a consumer am starting become more frugal. Yes, even when it comes to fashion.

Funny. I'm spending more on fashion, and less on food.

Thanks for keeping an ear to the economy with this article-certainly Lagerfeld was not-pity!
