Here's to a good morning for all of us! In a stroke of GENIUS, Kiehl's
has announced that they will be going green in a new deal with Brad
Pitt. Did they saw Green and Pitt in the same sentence? SOLD!
Unlike past celebrity launches, Pitt's name isn't on the bottle, he
won't appear in the ads — and the sole purpose is to raise funds for
charity rather than boost the incomes of the star and the beauty firm.
This is a change in celebrity marketing: Instead of hitching a product
to a celebrity's name, companies now are signing on to the star's
worthy cause.
We'll sign on to any cause with Mr. Pitt's name on it no problem. And
besides, who doesn't already love the apothecary feel of Kiehl's?
There is nothing more perfect than beauty and brains (and by beauty
obviously we weren't talking about Kiehls!)
