Ashley Olsen has decided to retire. She’s 22, and apparently she’s had enough of the acting thing. Not like she’s done much since the days of Full House…And no, New York Minute does not count!
So while her twin Mary Kate is snagging up all the roles, Ash is content with continuing to immerse herself in the fashion industry. She’s pretty busy these days with two different lines—The Row and Elizabeth and James.
Ashley opened up recently in an interview with
VMAN magazine, and said, "I've been transitioning from acting as a kid to doing something that I'm choosing for myself — to be part of the fashion industry. That's what I want for my future. It has nothing to do with my past, nothing to do with anyone else's agenda. And I followed my heart the whole way."
She also says she wants to continue to focus on her two fashion lines while her sister continues to do film and television. Ashley says of MK, "She's my partner...but she trusts me with the everyday. I mean, I see her like ten times a day."
We happen to love Ashley’s chic sense of style, so we hope she sticks with fashion, and continues to develop new collections. But would it be too much to ask for a less expensive line?? We are in a recession here!
