Jeans, jeans, and more jeans! It seems like they are everywhere. Frankly, it’s hard to imagine a world without them. But designer Alina of Alina Jeans knows exactly what it’s like.
While it seems like the market is saturated with jean designers, Alina's
background makes her unique. Alina grew up during the Cold War in
Communist Romania, where any and all things from Western Civilization,
including jeans, were banned! Despite the strict regime, Alina¹s
father brought Levis from America into their country to trade
illegally.
Since restricting American products in Romania was taken
seriously, any violation was handled by the police. As a little girl,
Alina remembers a time when law enforcement officers bombarded her
father’s home, searching for illegal pants. Luckily, her father was
not caught. He hid the loot in the oven!
Alina’s own passion for denim didn¹t develop until she moved to
California. With no formal training or experience in fashion design,
she has learned the ways of the business through persistence and
dedication. Alina Jeans is truly a project inspired by freedom and based on
hard work…and a serious love for denim!
Currently residing in Venice Beach, California, it’s pretty clear that Cali has influenced her designs. With an edge and a rock and roll appeal, Alina Jeans are casual enough for a day at the beach, but chic enough for a night out on the town. The premium denim is from Italy and Japan and handmade in LA giving the jeans a dynamic, sexy fit. The
Alina Jeans brand has already drawn attention from celebrities such as
Annalynne McCord (Beverly Hills 90210) and Swedish singer/songwriter/model Anine Bing! Alina Jeans is a truly amazing brand, and not just for celebrities. Check them out at
