Stevie Wonder files for divorce from his wife fashion designer, Kai Millard Morris.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the two married in 2001 and have actually been separated since 2009. Wonder decided that the whole thing might as well be made officially official.
The Grammy winner is citing the ubiquitously vague “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
It seems like a pretty drama free demise of the whole “till death do us part” thing.
They have two boys together, ages 7 and 10. Wonder would like joint custody and has agreed to pay both child and spousal support.
They will be splitting up some of his assets, regardless of the fact that he was really rich long before having met her. ‘The actual amount of the settlement is unknown at this time.
Wonder has five other children from a previous marriage and some other relationships. Several of his kids seem to be musically inclined, and have helped out their dad from time to time.
The piano playing singer songwriter has 30 top ten hits and 22 Grammy awards (the most ever awarded to a male solo artist).
