Steven Tyler Upsets Family By Getting Engaged

This was a busy holiday season for engagements. First it was Matthew McConaughey, then John Legend and his supermodel girlfriend Chrissy and now Steven Tyler. Only difference is Tyler's engagement has caused some serious drama in the family. Awkward.

Tyler proposed to his longtime girlfriend Erin Brady over the Christmas break, but it wasn't exactly a cause for celebration for the family. Sources close to the family tell TMZ, several family members have clashed with Erin for years ... and have told friends, "She's just not nice."

One source tells us, "She's just been mean to the family."

And apparently the family is upset that he didn't even discuss getting engaged with the family and they found out the same way we all did-when she started sporting a massive diamond ring.

So at this point the family is hoping that either A) Erin stops being bi*chy to them, or B) they split.

Tyler started dating Erin shortly after his second divorce. The 'American Idol' judge recently said he was “ashamed” of his womanizing past, and that he had been issued a wake up call by Erin after she had seen how “badly” he could behave.

He said: “There was some behavior I am ashamed of and I shouldn't have done, I don't want to hurt anybody again. For all the divorces I've had, I hurt those girls deeply. There was some behavior that I'm ashamed of and I shouldn't have done.”

Well let's see how long this one lasts. The family drama should be fun.
