Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler had to be hospitalized late Wednesday after he fell from stage during a concert in South Dakota.

Tyler had to be airlifted to Rapid City Regional Hospital due to minor head and neck injuries, as well as a shoulder injury. But luckily he's doing just fine!

The incident happened after the sound system failed during the song "Love in an Elevator," said Mike Sanborn, spokesman for the Buffalo Chip Campground, which hosted the outdoor concert.

Hoping to entertain the eager crowd while they fixed the technical problem, he got on the stage's catwalk and started to dance around for the crowd.

"He does a lot of dancing on the stage and he does a lot of stuff with his mike stand. He put his stand down and twirled around and stepped backwards off the stage," Sanborn said.

He ended up falling backwards onto a couple of fans, the Associated Press reports.

"He was good natured about it," Sanborn said. "He was in good spirits when he got in the helicopter. He was talking and joking with the physician. It was an unfortunate end to an extraordinary evening," he said.

Luckily he didn't have any serious injuries and he's expected to make a speedy recovery!

I think they're competing with The Rolling Stones for the band who just won't give up. They'll be wheeling oxygen machines and hospital beds rigged with microphones on the stage next.

He did joke about it when he went in the helicopter. Maybe this will be a sign for him to slow down when he is on stage. Let's hope he heals well. At his age, there could be complications.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Let's not do anymore stupid stripper moves for a little while and see if we can avoid backstepping off the stage LOL :)
