Steven Spielberg and Will Smith are teaming up for the bazillionth remake of the year. This will be a pretty tough film to redo, seeing as though the original was critically acclaimed.
In the original Korean film, a man named Dae-su Oh is kidnapped and held captive in a room for 15 years without any explanation or contact. He is suddenly released and given money, a cell phone, and clothes and takes off to discover who destroyed his life so he can take revenge.
It’s a pretty powerful plotline. Smith and Spielberg are currently looking for a screenwriter for the movie. Do you think they can pull off the remake?
