Yet, we only have ourselves to blame. We love our entertainment. A lot. If you want to see how much people love their entertainment, try turning off the TV while someone is watching the American Idol results. Beware, it can get ugly.
Here are the top ten Highest Paid Men in Entertainment of 2010-2011, according to Forbes.
1. Tyler Perry: $130 million: Apparently, someone is actually watching Meet the Browns, House of Payne, and Madea’s Big Happy Family. I don’t want to say these movies are terrible, because I think the billboards of Tyler Perry dressing in drag under the caption: “GOOD AFTERNOONT!” speak for themselves. Maybe Tyler is onto something here, though. Because it looks like he’s playing every character in the movie himself. Guy saves a ton on actors' salaries.

Here are some celebs that might surprise you are godparents too.
Lady Gaga: Lady Gaga is the godmother to Elton John's son. Gaga and Elton met last January when they performed together at the Grammy's and collaborated on "Gnomeo and Juliet" and I guess the rest is history.
Elton John: Elton John is the godfather to both the Beckham boys, Brooklyn and Romero. Their godmother is Liz Hurley. This is like a who's who of diva UK royalty.

There are no executives or agents on the list, and they didn't count earnings from non-film-related projects, "such as Steve Carell’s fees for starring on The Office or Jennifer Aniston’s for appearing in SmartWater ads."
Sadly, the top 10 is dominated by men, but Kristen Stewart comes in at number 13 with $28.5 million ($25 million for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 1 & 2, $2.5 million: On the Road and $1 million: Older film revenue, mostly from Twilight franchise) and Jennifer Aniston was the only other female in the top 20.
Jen made about $24.5 million. Her breakdown includes: $10 million for Just Go with It, $8 million: Wanderlust (fee for starring in upcoming Judd Apatow-produced film), $6 million: Horrible Bosses (fee for starring in upcoming workplace comedy), $500,000: Older film revenue. She also made a ton from SmartWater and Friends reruns, but again, those figures aren't included here.
Check out the top 10 below...
10. Robert Downey Jr., estimated 2010 earnings: $31.5 million

James Cameron was just named the most powerful man in the film world and we are not surprised one bit. Cameron even beat out Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan for the top spot.
The Guardian newspaper's Film & Music supplement, released their top 100 most influential people in the movie world and Cameron came up on top.
It said: "Cameron occupies the top two spots in the list of the highest grossing movies of all time, with 'Titanic' (worldwide gross: $1.8 billion) second only to 'Avatar' ($2.7 billion). Those figures are so high that it seems scarcely worth mentioning that other of his films, 'Terminator 2: Judgement Day', stands in the lower reaches of the top 100 with takings of over $519 million; loose change, really."
Steven Spielberg took the #2 spot and Leonardo DiCaprio came in #3.

The March issue of Vanity Fair profile’s the industry’s highest earners, and where their 2009 money came from. Topping the list is director Michael Bay. He raked in $125 million in ’09, coming largely from the Transformers franchise. Friday the 13th, The Unborn, and A Nightmare on Elm Street added to the grand total, but he can thank the blockbuster sequel for his main source of income.
Number two on the list is iconic director Steven Spielberg, with estimated earnings last year of $85 million, most of which was made on Universal Theme Park royalties. Oscar-nominated Avatar director James Cameron takes the number four position, making $50 million in 2009. Clearly that number is strictly from the success of Avatar, and we’re only expecting his profit to go up from there.
Other notable directors and producers in the top ten are Todd Philips (The Hangover), J.J. Abrams (Star Trek), and Jerry Bruckheimer (The Scorcerer’s Apprentice). The only three actors to break into the top ten earners are Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Hanks, and Ben Stiller. And the highest woman on the list is Cameron Diaz, who takes the number 19 spot, having made $27 million last year, mainly on voicing Princess Fiona in the film.
Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston are neck-and-neck, with Angie making just $1 million more than Jen. To see the whole list of the top Hollywood earners from 2009, click here.

Chairman of Martin Luther’s estate Dexter King said in a statement today, "We hope that this will be the definitive film on his life and legacy.”
Spielberg added, "We are all honored that the King Estate is giving us the opportunity to tell the story of these defining, historic events. It is our hope that the creative power of film and the impact of Dr. King's life can combine to present a story of undeniable power that we can all be proud of."
King, who was the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his work to end racial segregation and discrimination, was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1977 and the Congressional Gold Medal in 2004.
Now the question is…who will play Martin Luther King? We could see Cuba Gooding Jr. or Jamie Foxx. Or should it be more of an unknown actor?

The film will be shot in 3-D motion capture to create a realistic look. Craig plays the part of villain Pirate Red Rackham, and the part of Tintin will be plated by Jamie Bell.
The two have worked together in the past on the wartime thriller Defiance, so this will be a great rematch. Spielberg has nailed down quite a cast for this film, including Simon Pegg, Mackenzie Crook, and Nick Frost.
While the plot of the 3D motion capture adventure is mostly being kept under wraps, the movie will take most of its plot from Herge’s Unicorn story, which finds the young hero investigating hidden treasure and up against the nefarious Bird Brothers.
Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson has also been signed up to work on the big screen adaptation, which is due for release in 2011. Jackson is to direct a second Tintin film, with the option to make a third.

In the original Korean film, a man named Dae-su Oh is kidnapped and held captive in a room for 15 years without any explanation or contact. He is suddenly released and given money, a cell phone, and clothes and takes off to discover who destroyed his life so he can take revenge.
It’s a pretty powerful plotline. Smith and Spielberg are currently looking for a screenwriter for the movie. Do you think they can pull off the remake?

Laura Dern is even reprising her role as Dr. Ellie Sattler. She says, "It isn't just speculation. It's a while away, but my understanding is it's happening and my character is very involved. I know Steven Spielberg is looking forward to getting it together over the next year."
Bring back the dinos!!
