Meanwhile, there have been rumors that screenwriter Aaron Sorkin will be penning his own Steve Jobs script. Hollyscoop caught up with the Social Network and Moneyball writer to ask him about those rumors.

“I don’t know yet if I’m doing it,” Sorkin told Hollyscoop. He did confirm one thing, though: “It’s been offered to me.”

On Wednesday, the world was surprised with the news that 56 year-old Steve Jobs had passed away. Even if we didn’t know him, Steve held a little place in all of our hearts. If it weren't for Steve Jobs, you'd have no iTunes playlist. You could forget about those funny pictures you like to take in Photo Booth. And you know how your iPhone politely apologizes for your bad grammar? Yeah, that was him, too.

The brains behind the Apple brand passed away after speculation that his health had been deteriorating. His family said in a statement that Jobs "died peacefully today surrounded by his family."

The family's statement reads:

"In his public life, Steve was known as a visionary; in his private life, he cherished his family. We are thankful to the many people who have shared their wishes and prayers during the last year of Steve’s illness; a website will be provided for those who wish to offer tributes and memories.
Steve Jobs passed away today after a long battle with Pancreatic cancer. His life is an incredible American success story.

From dropping out of college after 6 months, to creating the Apple company at age 20, to being fired from his own company, co-founding Pixar, to returning to Apple and turning it into the revolutionary technology company that it has become today, his life is worthy of being documented on film.

Many great men and women have had their lives turned into biopics. Hollywood loves a good success story and I don't know anyone more deserving of his own film than Steve Jobs.

Every time you talk on your iPhone, buy music from iTunes, type on your Macbook Pro, or enjoy watching Pixar's "Finding Nemo" for the umpteenth time, you can thank Steve Jobs.

So that begs the questions, which actor would best play Steve Jobs in a film about his own life?
Former Apple CEO Steve Jobs died today at the age of 56. He's not the only popular figure to pass away at the age of 56.

People say that there is a "27 Club," a group of musicians who passed away at the age of 27. These individuals include Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix, who all passed away before their 28th birthdays.

You'd be surprised to know that Steve Jobs joined an interesting group of men and women who passed away at the age of 56.

Abraham Lincoln: The 16th president of the United States and arguably one of the greatest U.S. presidents was assassinated in 1865 when he was 56. Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, just two years before his death, effectively abolishing slavery as one of his last greatest accomplishments.
Steve Jobs, Former Apple CEO died today and while you know him as the guy to thank for why you have an iPhone, here's 10 things to know about Steve Jobs, some of which might even surprise you.

1) College drop-out: Like Mark Zuckerberg who dropped out of Harvard to create facebook, Steve Jobs had better things to do than go to school. He attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon, but dropped out after 6 months. A year later he co-founded Apple.

2) He liked LSD: After he dropped out of college, he traveled to India, became a Buddhist, and experimented with the psychedelic drug LSD. Jobs describes his LSD experience as "one of the two or three most important things he has done in his life."

3) He was adopted: Steve Jobs was adopted and in the 90's he decided to track down his long lost sister whom he finally met when he was 27. Not surprisingly his sister, Mona Simpson is a successful author and UCLA professor, I guess brilliance runs in the family.
Steve Jobs, the worlds greatest CEO in the iconic black turtleneck has passed away today.

Steve Jobs is responsible for changing how we consume content in the digital age, some technology pundits even calling him a modern-day Leonardo Da Vinci.

No details have emerged as of yet as to the cause of his death, but Jobs has been fighting a long battle with pancreatic cancer; sadly his death was not completely unexpected.

It's assumed his struggles with pancreatic cancer is what killed him. He was diagnosed with the cancer in 2004. Later that year he had the tumor in his pancreas removed and seemed to be in remission. Over the years he's been appearing very thin and gaunt at public appearance leading many people to fear for his ailing health.
