Stephen Colbert Shaves His Head for the Troops

Stephan Colbert recently taped four episodes of his show The Colbert Report from U.S. military headquarters Camp Victory, which is on the western side of Baghdad.

His intention was to bring attention to the war in Iraq through his new series entitled “Operation Iraqi Stephen: Going Commando.” Stephen feels that the media has almost forgotten about our troops overseas, since everyone is so consumed with the state of the economy.

Colbert was there to entertain the troops and taped each show from the domed marble hall at Saddam Hussein’s former Al Faw Palace. The show features his usual witty banter, as well as some pre-taped skits Stepen stars in.

But the biggest crowd pleaser came when his first guest, Gen. Ray Odierno, accepted a videotaped order from President Barack Obama to shave Colbert's head.

And he actually does it! Tune in tonight through Thursday on Comedy Central at 11:30PM.
