It's the kind of situation that only a Spice Girl could get herself into.

Melanie Chisholm, the 39-year-old Spice Girl that operates under the nickname “Sporty,” barely escaped the same fate suffered by Captain Hook, time and time again.

According to a new report, while cruising the exotic waters of Africa’s Zambezi River, Mel C’s raft tipped over and she was plunged into the crocodile-infested environment.

Can we just pause for a second and savor what this might have looked like for the crocodiles… A Spice Girl—probably screaming—is tossed overboard in the water... It’s like a scene straight out of Spice World.

Mel was apparently sharing the raft with English comedian Jack Dee. They were participating in a charity event for Comic Relief, a UK-based group that fights poverty.

The trip was a 68-mile river rapids trek, so a capsized vessel wasn’t exactly an unexpected feat. Not to worry, though. Everybody’s fine.

Tweets from the charity’s account kept fans filled in on the wild and weird turn of events.

“Jack and Mel lost control of their dinghy, were dragged through trees by the white water & capsized before being rescued.”

“Everyone is safe and well, but the last two hours have been incredibly dramatic. Everyone is shaken but physically fine now – but that was as frightening a morning as you’d ever want to have.”

"Jack and Mel have to get back in the boat and paddle to the lunch stop now. Thankfully there are no rapids between here and there."

If only it was all caught on camera…
