Spencer Pratt Hospitalized for Low Blood Platelets

Spencer Pratt got some bad news this morning. He was gearing up to head to Costa Rica with his wife Heidi Montag to star in I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, when he got a strange call from his doctor.

All contestants are required to get bloodwork done before heading to Costa Rica, but Spencer’s showed abnormalities. Upon getting the call, Spencer took to his Twitter page to keep his fans in the loop.

He wrote this morning, “The doctor just woke me up with a call saying I need to go to the hospital because the test I took show signs of low blood platelets!"

But Spencer later updated his page, writing, "@ the Doctors Office about to get my 6th SHOT for the COSTA RICAN JUNGLE,” adding that he’s "armed and ready."

Hopefully it was just a false alarm this morning, but it’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your health. As of now, Spencer is still scheduled to depart for the show, which premieres on NBC June 1st.
