MTV Won't Air Punch Scene From Jersey Shore

MTV has been getting a lot of slack for their new reality show "Jersey Shore" so they've decided to cut one of the scenes that has already made the rounds on the Internet.

In a scene at the shore, our favorite Guidette gets punched by some d-bag. No one hit Snookie and gets away with it! The guy was immediately arrested.

MTV was there to catch the punch and they have been playing in their teasers but they've decided to pull it from the actual episode.

"What happened to Snooki was a crime and obviously extremely disturbing," MTV said in a written statement. "After hearing from our viewers, further consulting with experts on the issue of violence, and seeing how the video footage has been taken out of context not to show the severity of this act or resulting consequences, MTV has decided not to air Snooki being physically punched in the face," MTV told E!'s Marc Malkin.
