It’s the battle of the network singing competition shows…
Next week, NBC will reportedly be adding a Wednesday night airing of their show “The Voice” to compete with the highly anticipated premiere of FOX’s “The X Factor.” As you can imagine, the V-neck behind the FOX show is not happy.
“These guys have really got it in for us,” he said. “It's nothing short of dirty tricks."
According to Cowell, the move is not only sneaky, it was done out of fear. NBC is afraid, he says, of how good his show is.
“The reason they've done this is they don't want people to see 'X Factor' because they've heard how good the series is,” said Cowell. “They don't want their audience to see Britney Spears. They don't want their audience to see Demi Lovato."
Originally, NBC and FOX had a “gentlemen’s agreement” that, due to the fact that both shows likely had a good chunk of the same audience and aired in the same season, they would split their week… “The Voice” would get Monday and Tuesday, and “The X Factor” would get Wednesday and Thursday.
However, those blueprints got shatted on when NBC decided to add a third episode to its premiere next week, airing at the same time as Wednesday night’s launch of “X Factor.”
... Simon says: Go f**k yourself, NBC.
“I can't bear it that the network is playing political games and playing with the audience," he said.
The network shenanigans kick off on Monday, September 10.
