Simon Cowell Donates $160K to Sick Baby

Simon Cowell may be known as a sour puss on American Idol, but he’s just a softy under that hard exterior. According to a new report, Simon has donated a hefty amount to a child in need.

RadarOnline reports that Cowell handed over $160,000 to help save the life of 18-month old Sophie Atay from Gateshead in the U.K.

While American Idol fans were shocked to learn about Paula Abdul's departure, sources tell Hollyscoop that it's been "a long time coming."

Paula Abdul Not Likely to Return to American Idol

It's the end of an era! According to Paula Abdul's manager, the American Idol judge most likely won't be returning back to the show for its upcoming ninth season due to contract negotiations.
