Sienna Miller is making the popular transition from film to Broadway this year, with her role in the show After Miss Julie. It’s an adaptation of playwright August Stridberg’s Miss Julie, which ran in London five years ago. This will be Sienna’s second time on the stage. Her first was with the London production As You Like It.
But this character will be a much more challenging role for Sienna as the play not only just has three characters, but she’ll be playing the sexually provocative Miss Julie.
Columnist Baz Bamigboye broke the news in the Daily Mail Friday, writing that the "sexually provocative" role "gives her a fantastic opportunity to show everyone what I know she's capable of at her best."
Believe it or not, heading to New York will be like coming home in a way for Sienna, since that’s where she studied acting before hitting the big time.
We think this is a good move for Sienna. She and Balthazar Getty have left such a bad taste in everyone’s mouths since their affair that it’s better for Sienna to be away from the limelight. You can catch her this fall, beginning in September at the Roundabout Theater in New York.
