Shrek

Get Him to The Greek and Killers might have been the two new movies at the theatre this weekend, but Shrek stomped them both.

The animated 3D Shrek Forever After has been at the top of the box office for the third weekend in a row.

The movie has made a whopping $183 million domestically just in the last three weeks.

Get Him to the Greek took the #2 spot this weekend by making $17.4 million. Killers was not too far behind with $16.1 million.

Get Him to the Greek was sort of disappointing. We thought it was gonna be funnier than it actually was. It seemed like all the funny parts of the movie were in the commercial.
The final trailer for Shrek Forever After is out! The film hits theaters later this month on May 21st, and as many know, this will be the last installment in the franchise.

In the film, Shrek signs a pact with Rumpelstiltskin. Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona have never met. Now, it's up to Shrek to undo all he's done in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one True Love.

This installment has a ton of celeb voices, including the regulars Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderes, and Cameron Diaz, as well as Jon Hamm, Jane Lynch, and Kathy Griffin.

Talk about an all-star cast! Check out the trailer below!

James Cameron’s Avatar is officially more successful than James Cameron’s Titanic—at least when it comes to North America. The Oscar-nominated sci-fi hit beat out Titanic this week, reaching $601.1 million, which just beats out $600.8 million held by Titanic.

It also beat out the previously held $1.84 billion worldwide sales, making $2 billion at the box office. Cameron's producing partner Jon Landau said in a statement, "When some said to us, 'How is it going to feel to knock off 'Titanic'? I think our response was, 'It's about time those guys got knocked off their perch.’”

"Lightning is not supposed to strike twice. And it has. And it's a pinch-me moment when you sit there and you hear that we're going to break another record. It's beyond anything that we could have imagined," he said.

Shrek and his Donkey have been named the best onscreen film couple in a UK poll. It's kind of random, but cute.

Grace Carley, a representative for the U.K. Cinema Industry, says, "It's an unusual choice. Shrek and Donkey are not even human."

The animated pair were tied for first place with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in 1990's 'Pretty Woman.' 'Dirty Dancing' duo Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey tied in third with Homer and Marge in 2007's The Simpsons Movie.

Which on screen duo would get your vote?
