Shia LaBeouf: 'It’s Hard To Have Sex With Your Clothes On'

The former Disney Channel star is making an appearance and he’s wearing clothes this time…

In honor of his new feature film Lawless, Shia LaBeouf showed up on Tuesday night’s episode of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” The actor sat down for an interview with Jay, to chat and sport his new longhaired look.

One of the topics up for discussion was a hot one… Shia’s buff new music where he appears completely naked.

“I was actually told that we were going to have CGI clothes on,” the actor joked. “It just blindsided me. Completely out of left field.”

Shia explained that he became involved in the project after seeing a documentary by the director Alma Har'el and writing her a fan letter. Har’el asked him to play the man of a drug-addicted couple in the video for the Icelandic song “Fjögur Píanó” by Sigur Rós.

Upon arriving on set, the director instructed him that he had been having sex with his companion all night, so the only logical wardrobe choice was none at all.
“It’s hard to have sex with your clothes on. Have you ever had sex with your clothes on?” Shia asked Jay.

Fishing for a joke for a brief second, the host settled for a simple “No, I can’t say that I have.”

Imagine Shia’s surprise when Jay segued into showing the video for the audience… It was all pretty awkward.

The conversation also touched on the chicken clan that Shia was raising at his Hollywood home, which sadly were massacred by a hungry coyote recently, and the details of his newest project…

Lawless – a film about the a family in the time of Prohibition, which Shia describes as “Goodfellas in the woods” – was a long time coming and required the actor to gain 40 pounds… Mainly because he didn’t want to look tiny next to Tom Hardy, who plays Bane in The Dark Knight Rises.

“Standing next to [Tom] I felt like Josh Groban … Nothing against Josh Groban. I have a Josh Groban tattoo,” he said.

Lawless opens in theaters August 29.
