Sharon Vonne Stone was born on March 10, 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Sharon Stone was signed with Ford Modeling Agency and spent a few years modeling and appearing in TV commercials.

Unsatisfied with her job, Stone went to New York to pursue and acting career. She received her first but short role in Woody Allen’s Stardust Memories. Her most infamous role was of Catherine Tramell in Basic Instinct. After the film she was listed as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world by People magazine.

In 1995, Stone received a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Shortly after, Stone was chosen as one of the 100 sexiest stars in film history by Empire magazine. Her role in Casino gave her a nomination for an Academy Award as best actress and won her a Golden Globe.
