Shaquille O'Neal's wife Shaunie has filed for legal separation...again. Shaunie abruptly flew to LA from Florida to file paperwork yesterday.
The petition says although Shaunie is filing for legal separation, she intends to file for divorce. She lists "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for separation, reports
TMZ.
As for why she flew to LA to file the paperwork when the couple lives in Florida, a spouse can generally get more money in spousal support in California.
Shaq's camp is convinced that Shaunie is just trying to make as much money off the divorce as she possibly can, while Shaunie's lawyer claim she's living in California, which is why she filed here.
The date of separation is listed as 11-9-09 and Shaunie is asking for spousal support as well as legal and physical custody of their four children.
It's not the first time the couple has filed for divorce. He filed back in 2007 but they called off the divorce a year later.
Their seven-year anniversary would have been next month. Call it the seven-year itch if you will. More details coming soon!
