Now that gay couples can make their way down the aisle, we're hoping Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie can honor their statements and get hitched as well.
You may recall Pitt’s statement to Parade magazine saying, “Maybe we’ll get married when it’s legal for everyone else. I stand by that, although I took a lot of flak for saying it–hate mail from religious groups. I believe everyone should have the same rights. They say gay marriage ruins families and hurts kids. Well, I’ve had the privilege of seeing my gay friends being parents and watching their kids grow up in a loving environment.”
We commend them for sticking by their word, but now’s their big chance! We’ll all be waiting with baited breath…
Meanwhile, lots of celebs in Hollywood are singing the same tune today….everyone except Carrie Prejean, we presume.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's statement, "This decision affirms the full legal protections and safeguards I believe everyone deserves."
Ellen Degeneres broke the news to her fans stating, "This just in: Equality Won!"
Kim Kardashian tweeted, "Prop 8 was struck down! This news is amazing!!!! Its about time! Congrats to everyone!"
Ricky Martin, who just came out of the closet said, "YEAHHHHH!!!!! #prop8unconstitutional Moving Forward!!!!!!!!"
Paris Hilton: What a huge historical day for equal rights in this country! They finally overturned Prop 8! There shouldn't be a law on true love. :)
Shanna Moakler: "Tonight we celebrate! EQUALITY and LOVE for all!"
Nicky Hilton: Thank God California overturned the ban on gay marriage. Making progress!
Courtenay Semel: Prop 8 ruled unconstitutional! YAY!!!
Brittny Gastineau: Congrats on prop 8!
Samantha Ronson tweeted, "Song Of The Day: Let's Get Married- Jagged Edge."
Lance Bass tweeted, "Congrats on the overturning of Prop 8!!!!"
Portia de Rossi tweeted, "I am ecstatic that proposition 8 has been overturned in the state of California. This is an incredibly exciting and historical day and a big step towards equal rights for all."
The reality is, this judgement was long overdue. Gay marriage should not be a issue this day and age. We are all human and need to be treated with equality!

Shanna is one of the people named in the suit, and she is now firing back, insisting there’s no reason Carrie should be suing in the first place.
Shanna’s lawyer Mel Avanzado released a statement saying, “On Ms. Moakler’s behalf, I can say unequivocally that Ms. Prejean’s lawsuit is without merit.”
“More importantly, as everyone who watched or read her public statements is well aware, Ms. Prejean’s unfortunate and bigoted statements are responsible for any public humiliation or damages to her reputation that she has claimed to have suffered,” Avanzado added.
“Ms. Moakler strenuously denies that she did anything wrong and looks forward to proving that in a court of law.”
This is going to be one nasty war of words! Whose side are you on? Carrie Prejean’s or Miss California and Shanna Moakler’s?

Travis, who has joint custody, arrived at the family home with the two children to return them to their mother, and reportedly stared screaming at her.
Life & Style reports, "He started screaming and wouldn't leave the kids with her."
The fight continued to escalate, and the police were eventually called. They eventually had to remove Travis from the property.
The insider says, "Travis wouldn't leave because he wanted Shanna to let his nanny stay with her and the kids, but she refused. Travis refused to go, Shanna called the police. They gave Travis a choice: Leave or get arrested. So he left. But he wasn't happy. He's already twittered about Shanna."
That Twitter leaves little to the imagination: "My babies [sic] mama is a pile of sh*t."
Travis obviously doesn’t trust Shanna with the kids for some reason, but we’re not sure why! We’ve never heard of anything going wrong while the kids are in her care. She and Travis obviously need to come up with a solution so their kids don’t always see them with their claws out!

Carrie specifically would be going after Shanna Moakler and Keith Lewis. Donald Trump, on the other hand, will not be named in the suit.
Despite claims she’s already filed a lawsuit, Carrie told Billy Bush of Access Hollywood, “No, it’s not signed. It hasn’t been filed.”
When asked if she planned on going through with the suit, Carrie said, “No, I mean, hopefully this will all just get taken care of. There’s definitely some things that are false that they’ve said about me and I think definitely the book will — it’s sort of like therapy for me. It’s a way for me to just get out the truth, really.”
She continued, “I mean they did slander me, they defamed me. They made me look like I don’t show up to work, like I don’t do my job and that’s not true, Billy. I mean they haven’t proven one appearance that I missed and no one’s challenged them. Not one media outlet has challenged them and said, ‘Prove to me. What appearances has she missed?’”
Keith Lewis’s rep reacted by saying, “Keith Lewis is in the Bahamas preparing Miss California Teen USA for the Miss Teen USA pageant, which is tonight, and will make a comment upon his return to Los Angeles on Monday.”
Moakler’s rep was not immediately available for comment, but she did posted several quotes from Trump on her Twitter account late Thursday evening including, “When somebody challenges you, fight back. Be brutal, be tough. - Donald Trump.”
This is just getting uglier!

Shanna quit after Donald Trump permitted Carrie to continue on as the CA representative. But now that she’s out, Shanna wants back in.
She tells E! News, "If Donald Trump gives his blessing, I'll be back in a heartbeat.”
Trump couldn’t immediately be reached for comment on Moakler's desire to return.
Shanna says she is ready to recommit to the organization now that she believes its credibility has been restored, and she also praises Prejean's replacement, new Miss California Tami Farrell.
Shanna says of her, "She actually shows up for work."
We hope Trump gives her a second shot. Shanna stood up for what she believed in. And isn’t that exactly why Donald allowed Carrie to stay…for sticking to her beliefs?

She said in a statement: "Since the press conference yesterday, I had a chance to think about what has taken place, and I feel that at this time it is in my best interest to resign from the Miss California USA organization.”
"I cannot with a clear conscious move forward supporting and promoting the Miss Universe Organization when I no longer believe in it, or the contracts I signed committing myself as a youth. I want to be a role model for young woman with high hopes of pageantry, but now feel it more important to be a role model for my children. I am sorry and hope I have not let any young supporters down but wish them the best of luck in fulfilling their dreams."
This isn’t too surprising, seeing as though Shanna and Carrie have very different beliefs when it comes to the topic of gay marriage. After Prejean announced that she’d be launching a campaign opposing gay marriage, Shanna announced she’d be appearing in a new ad supporting gay rights. She also shot a print ad last month slamming Proposition 8.
We think it’s great that Shanna is standing up for what she believes in, and should be given the same respect as Carrie is getting from Trump for stating her beliefs, and sticking by them. But it’s sad that Shanna is being forced to leave The Miss California organization, which she’s been a part of for so long.

Apparently the disappointment the Miss California organization with Carrie is more far-reaching than her widely publicize answer about gay marriage. Carrie also didn’t let the Miss California organization know about her involvement with anti-gay organizations, and she also failed to make mandatory appearances. Co-chair Keith Lewis didn’t hide his disappointment with Carrie Prejean, saying, "Up until now, we have just been riding along, pretty much a passenger on this runaway train. As of today, that ends."
But instead of deciding Prejean’s fate themselves, Miss California officials have turned that power over to Donald Trump, who will decide whether or not Carrie will lose her crown or not.
Keith was also quick to blame the conservative organizations that he says persuaded Prejean to promote their beliefs on marriage. Keith said today that the Miss California organization is focusing on “getting back to the business of beauty.”
Well, that’s something that’s definitely been tarnished ever since Carrie Prejean came into the public eye! Tune in tomorrow when Donald Trump decides Carrie’s fate! We want to know…do you think she should keep her crown as Miss California, or should it go to the runner-up?

Shanna wrote a Myspace blog explaining that Miss California did not lose the competition because of her views on same sex marriages, but the fact that "she wasn't able to convey compassion for ALL the people."
Read the full blog below! Do you guys think Shanna makes a good point?
well, I just got back from a interview at CBS, and I can say after not sleeping for about 2 days and trying to sum up emotions in a 30 second interview wasn't easy, I wanted to take to my blog so I can put into words my thoughts and feelings, I find writing is best for me anyway.
First, I want to be clear on the fact, that I have NOT and will not abandon our reigning Miss California, thou I have a STRONG difference of opinion, I do NOT hate her, nor do I have any issue with her stating her opinion, she is not the first conservative christian titleholder to be in pageants. I agree with the majority that this IS what makes our country great and that is of course freedom of speech. She was asked a questioned and she answered it.
But I want to explain to the masses, what the TITLE of Miss USA stands for to me, and being a former Miss USA, I feel I have a pretty good sense of it. Miss USA travels the world and she competes at the Miss UNIVERSE pageant as a representation of her country. She is a ambassador, a role model and needs to be able to show diplomacy on all issues. sadly for California THIS is where we lost the crown. Not for her answer or even her beliefs, because again, sadly IN California her beliefs at this point in time are the majority. But she lost the crown because she wasn't able to convey compassion for ALL the people that as MISS USA she would be representing. and if YOU like it or not, gays and lesbians make up this country as well. THIS is why we have judges so they can find the RIGHT woman who obtains these qualities. they are crucial in my eyes when holding a honor and title as big as being Miss USA. The panel of judges was qualified and did their job, they represented all of us, men, woman, black, white, gay and straight.
I think Miss California's willingness to stand by her convictions and ( in my eyes, simply made the question more personal then it needed to be,) has in essence made a great positive impact cause it has brought a issue important to me to the for front of the media and that is civil rights. I have blogged and petitioned for gay rights in the past and if anything positive can come out of this, It's that it has people talking and we need to have people talking and we need MANY conversations on this topic to take place, especially in the state of California and with Prop 8.
I do however want to apologize to the men and woman who have continually supported the Miss California USA pageant. I know some were hurt and felt a sense of betrayal, but I thank you for your understanding, communication, love and continued support.

Apparently they broke up "after a nasty fight broke out at his house last night and cops were called...[when] Shanna started freaking out and acting irrational," a source tells Us Weekly.
"Travis confronted Shanna about her having an affair with Gerard Butler while he was in the hospital recovering," the source says.
Obviously that confrontation didn't go well because the cops were called. There were no charges filed, but Travis is making it clear as day that he's done with Shanna... for now.
Shanna's rep confirmed: "They did break up but Shanna never cheated on Travis while he was in the hospital. Furthermore, Shanna is tired of playing out their personal relationship in the press."
If Shanna is tired of their personal relationship playing out in the press, maybe she should stop releasing statements through her rep--or blogging about their relationship on her Myspace. We bet they’ll be back together by summer time.
