Shakira's Foundation Donates $40 Million to Charity

Pop star Shakira is donating $40 million from Latin America for Solidarity Foundation (ALAS) - which she co-founded with Nobel Prize winning author Gabriel Garcia Marquez to help rebuild areas hit by natural disasters.

She says, "I've seen first-hand many of the challenges facing Latin America.

These are challenging problems that no one person can address, but working together everyone can help make a difference."

The ALAS foundation will also invest $5 million into a three-year commitment project for children in the two regions. Now that's hot!

Wow, I am really impressed she did this. Now I feel bad about all the times I ripped on her. Still cant stand her voice or music but might have to pick up her CD just to support artists who actually think of others then themselves

I did never heard from someone something bad about Shakira,so you iritanting,people shut a hell up...She's just the smartest,most beautiful singer ever..And there is no better person on this whole world as she is...Her songs are the best!!!
