Shakira Asks for Prenup

Sexy songbird Shakira, who is to wed Argentine lawyer Antonio de la Rua this fall, is making her fiancé sign a prenuptial agreement according to reports in Argentina.

A source said: "When you're very much in love you have plenty of people giving you advice, and none of them wants to see what happened to Paul McCartney happen to her."

According to the reports, Shakira is insisting he sign an agreement renouncing his right to any of her fortune if they divorce. Last we heard, her fiancé is pretty loaded himself. The couple have already been engaged for six years--that's longer than most Hollywood marriages. I guess she figures better safe than sorry.

Shakira and Antonio - the son of former Argentine president Fernando de la Rua will finally tie the knot in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in September.
