Sorry, boyfriends. Sex and the City lives on.

Because Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte are getting older, and The Golden Girls has already been done, producers have decided to go back in time with a TV series on the CW.

The Carrie Diaries is a book series that follows the life of Carrie Bradshaw from her senior year of high school to the early 1980s.

Sex and the City co-producer Amy B. Harris is set to adapt Candace Bushnell’s novel series and will serve as the showrunner. Len Goldstein of Warner Bros. Televisions Fake Empire will be executive producer. Fake Empire is the company behind Gossip Girl.

Every girl compares themselves to a Sex and the City character. Don’t lie! Even celebrities do it, like Victoria Beckham and Kim Kardashian!

With SATC2 out this weekend, we asked as many leading ladies as we could which Sex character they most identify with, and here’s what they told us!

Victoria Beckham: “I am so Sarah Jessica Parker. I just am. I have to say I have dressed her a couple of times and I met her. I was such a fan, such a fan. I love Sex and the City, I really do. I am so excited to see the new movie. I love Sarah Jessica Parker, I love all the ladies but I love Carrie. I absolutely love Carrie Bradshaw.”

Gabrielle Union: “Oh God any given moment of the week it can be between Carrie, Cynthia’s Nixons character, Kim Catrell. Certainly in my dating life a little bit more Kim Catrell, it just depends on the day.”

Kim Kardashian: “I would definitely say I'm like Charlotte don’t you think?”

Selma Blair: “I don’t know if I identify with any of them. I’m just a brunette and so I guess I would have to say Kristin Davis character. I wish I had the legs and arms of Carrie.”

Rosario Dawson: “The brown one, oh wait there isn’t one, just kidding.”

Rachel Zoe: That is a hard one. I think they are all so amazing. I’m a Carrie fan, I know her personally and she is kind of amazing. They are all fantastic in their own way. I think that is the best thing about the movie, everybody looks at Sex and the City and says ‘Oh I’m Miranda, I’m a Carrie.’”

Kourtney Kardashian: “I think everyone wants to be Carrie. Even though my life has nothing in common with her right now I would still say Carrie.”

Cheryl Burke: “I love Samantha she is my favorite-- I want to be her when I'm her age.”

Katharine McPhee: “I dont know, if I could just dress half as good as any of those girls I would be happy.”

Catt Sadler: “What if I say I can’t pick one? I feel I’m a little of all the girls. I love to write, I love to blog so Carrie Bradshaw is very much my inner wild child. I’m a mom and I have kids so I would say Charlotte is someone I can relate to. Although she is a lot more proper than I would ever consider myself. Kim Catrell, hello I like to think that I got a little something, something when it comes to my love life.”

The ladies are back! Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda are back and better than better--in couture! The ladies grace the cover of Entertainment Weekly and give us the scoop on what went down behind the scenes. Here are some highlights from the interview:

Sarah Jessica Parker on being dressed up on a camel: "Kim and I had this camel that without any warning would just sit down whenever he wanted. And we were dressed like lunatics!" Parker says. "Designer couture on camels. And I mean Couture. I had some vintage Dior pieces from the couture archives on a camel."

Chris Noth (Mr. Big) on being upset he missed out on Morocco: "I had [the series finale in] Paris, but I was still really f---ing pissed! Corbett gets to go? I said, 'If there's another one, Carrie and Big are going on a worldwide f---ing tour because we need to spruce things up before her first baby or something.' I don't know I'm making it up."

John Corbett (Aidan) on making Mr. Big jealous: "I love it, because I was ultra-jealous of those guys when they got to be in the first movie. I called Noth on his birthday while I was there. I passed the phone around. I couldn't wait to rub it in, because he was really bummed out that he couldn't come. I like creating jealousy."

John Corbett on keeping his cameo a secret: "I couldn't believe that I got to go there and the paparazzi never caught me," says the actor. "The whole time we were there, one guy got a shot off, but I had a little bag I was carrying and I got it up in front of my face. That was the only photo - a big, tall guy with a bag in front of his face."

Director Michael Patrick King on why he choose an exotic five-star vacation for the sequel: "We were in the middle of an economic downturn, and I realized that during the Great Depression, the movies' job was to go to a bit of an escapist's bend," says King, who took over as show-runner on the HBO series after creator Darren Star stepped down in 2000. "So I thought, let's take everybody on a big, fun trip. Because I don't think people want to see Carrie Bradshaw selling apples under the bridge."

Samantha Jones the mother? Who would have thought!? Kim Cattrall's character will reportedly try to get pregnant in the Sex and the City sequel.

According to reports, Cattrall was spotted carrying around a script for the highly anticipated sequel, which revealed that Samantha will take testosterone hormones, which are sometimes taken to help women conceive.

In one scene between Samantha and her assistant Meghan, Samantha reportedly knocks over a container of hormones and asks Meghan to run out and get her some more.

Samantha tells her: “I'm going to need you to go on a testosterone run.” Meghan replies: “I'll do it first thing tomorrow.” However, Samantha is not impressed and snaps back: “I'll call the pharmacy and tell them you are on your way.”

It's hard to imagine Samantha with any kind of maternal instincts. We put her in the 'she's never having babies' folder and filed it away. It's certainly going to add an interesting twist to the plot line. What do you think of the possibility of Samantha becoming a mother?

Sex and the City fans are so crazy about the movie, Sarah Jessica Parker has had to beef up security while she shoots scenes in New York or else she'll get mobbed by fans.

And when we say beef up security, we're talking Presidential style! SJP actually has that many bodyguards and security surrounding the set!

A source said: "The film's security team looked more like they were protecting the president than Sarah Jessica Parker.

"At one point, teenage girls were practically trampling each other trying to get to Sarah Jessica as she was walking back to her trailer, but her security team was shoving everyone out of the way."

SJP is trying to sympathic towards the fans telling her bodyguard to be careful when they handle the crowd. A source said told the New York Daily News newspaper: "She was telling them not to hurt the fans. She looked upset and extremely concerned. The guards were getting pretty rough."

We don't know about you, but we're dying to see more clips and photos of the girls shooting for the movie. It's like a little treat seeing a new Carrie outfit every day. What do you think the plot for the Sex and the City sequel will be about?

While we're used to Sex & the City surrounding the lives of our favorite TV girlfriends; Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda, one actor stole the spotlight during the movie--Gilles Marini aka: Samantha's hot neighbor Dante.

Gilles, Samantha's "sex on a stick" neighbor, played Dante in the hit movie, which left women across the country begging for more. Now that the SATC sequel has been confirmed, is there room in the sequel for this sexy actor? It's definitely a possibility.

Hollyscoop caught up with Gilles last night at the Dancing With the Stars taping where he opened up about the idea of making a cameo on the new SATC sequel.

“We’ve been talking," Gilles told Hollyscoop exclusively. "We'll see what happens. If Michael Patrick King comes down and says 'I have this part for you', I'll drop everything, except Dancing With the Stars, and I'll do it."

He added, "He’s a brilliant writer so I’d love to work with him again. I'm sure he has a lot of amazing thing cooking for me.”

Speaking of Michael Patrick King, he was recently spotted in the audience during a taping of DWTS earlier this month. Gilles joked that he took his shirt off during his performance that night to "show Michael I’m still in shape."

Now that Smith is out of the picture, it would be great to see Samantha hook up with someone just as hot—if not hotter. What would Sex and the City be without a steamy Samantha rendezvous, right?

“Hell ya, I have unfinished business with Samantha,” Gilles joked. And we have unfinished business with you Gilles, in a sexy kind of way.

We’re super excited about the Sex & the City sequel, and even more interested to see the next chapter in Big and Carrie’s lives. The end of the first movie indicated that everything was finally falling into place for the two of them, and one can only assume babies are the next step!

Us Weekly caught up with Chris Noth at a premiere last night, and asked about the possibility of a mini Big or mini Carrie in the next movie. Chris answered, "Producers are probably thinking about that, but I don't know.”

They’re all so elusive about the plot all the time! But one thing that’s a definite for the next film is the budget crunch they’re on.

Sarah Jessica Parker mentioned earlier this year that she was hoping the film would be recession-friendly, meaning that it would seem inappropriate to have the ladies parading around in their Manolos at a time where real-life Americans can barely pay their bills.

She said: "Of course we will have to consider the global situation. There is a lot we have to think about now because times are very different."

It certainly wouldn’t be as fun to see Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte trade in their Prada shoes for Payless, but would it be more socially responsible?

You be the judge! Tell us what you’re expecting from the next SATC movie…Kids for Big and Carrie? Recession-friendly wardrobe for the ladies? Or should they not mess with a good thing?

If you're a loyal Sex and the City fan like we are, you're probably anxiously waiting for an official confirmation about a sequel.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have all said that they would gladly do the sequel if the plot line was right. And why wouldn't they? The first movie brought in $55 million dollars opening weekend alone.

Hollyscoop caught up with SATC star Chris Noth aka: Mr. Big at the 14th Annual Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles to get the scoop on SATC part II.

"You know more than I do, I bet," Noth joked. Before adding, "I bet there will be another one. Too many executives want too much money."

So if the sequel does come through, what can we expect the plot line to be? "It's got to be a divorce," he joked. Adding that Mr. Big would probably sleep with a "30 year old model." Guess 30 is the new 20 after all.

Check out our exclusive interview with Chris Noth aka: Mr. Big at the 14th Annual Critics Choice Awards below...
